The Float, Singapore

The Float is the world's largest floating stadium and is situated on the waters of the Marina Reservoir in Marina Bay, Singapore.

The astounding structure is made entirely of steel and measures 120m long and 83m wide, which is 5% larger than most pitches. The platform can hold up to 1,070 tonnes - the equivalent to a total weight of around 9,000 people or 400 elephants; a remarkable feat considering its floating nature.

Unlike traditional stadiums, The Float is surrounded by the waters of the marina on three sides, with one grandstand based on land boasting an impressive seating capacity of 30,000 people.
