Designed by Hungarian-born architect Erno Goldfinger, Trellick Tower in North Kensington, London, could well be Britain's most famous tower block. Now lauded by many as a masterpiece of modernist design, the tower wasn't always so popular; in the Eighties a reputation for crime and antisocial behaviour led some council tenants to refuse to live there.
