#7 Orang+Utan Veggie Cafe, Kiev, Ukraine

Somewhat resembling a stark-white bathroom or laboratory, this Ukrainian cafe plays with a concept of the city is a jungle and the residents or 'animals' within need a natural space to come and relax, says architecture practice AKZ Architectura.

The client Yulia Savlepova approached the Kiev practice AKZ Architectura with a clear vision of what they wanted for the new veggie cafe.

White tiles contrast with the dark exterior, inviting people in, while random bursts of colour are placed around the space. Bright pink fruits elevate the main countertop and green plants sit in a corner to create a jungle-like vibe.
