Palace Hotel Tokyo to open doors in Japan soon


Palace Hotel Tokyo in Japan is set to open doors on 17 May 2012.


The 290-key hotel will consist of 12 accommodation categories from deluxe rooms to suites. The deluxe rooms will range in size from 45 to 55 square metres whereas the suites will range between 75 to 255 square metres.

All the rooms will be equipped with 300-thread count Imabari bed linens, 46-inch LCD TVs, Blue-ray/DVD/CD players. The rooms will also provide wireless and wired internet access. Bulk of the rooms will sport open-plan bathrooms comprising separate soaking tubs and showers. Over half of the rooms and suites will possess open terraces and balconies and all guest rooms will offer views of Tokyo's Imperial Palace gardens and the surrounding skyline. The décor of every room will be adorned in leafy carpet motifs while donning earthy mix of gold and cream shades.

The meeting area of the hotel will include eight mixed-use rooms, a 28-seat formal boardroom, and two smaller meeting rooms. The main ballroom of the facility will comprise window measuring seven metres in height and 22 metres in width offering views of the Wadakura moat and the Imperial Palace gardens.

The property will house a 1,200 square metre evian SPA on the fifth floor which will be the first ever in Japan. It will feature five treatment rooms, one spa suite, and separate ladies' and gentlemen's relaxation lounge. The gentlemen's spa space will sport a heated bath, reclining bath, cold plunge and dry sauna. The spa area for the ladies will don a heated bath and marble sauna. The reception of the spa will be adorned with a loose stone garden whereas the ceiling of its treatment rooms will draw reference to ripples in a pond.

The property will house 10 restaurants and bars. Its sixth level will feature the original Palace Hotel's French restaurant named Crown, and Sushi Kanesaka. The hotel also features a tempura bar named Tatsumi, Go which is an area dedicated to teppanyaki, Grand Kitchen all-day dining, a cake and pastry shop titled Sweets & Deli, and the Amber Palace on its fifth floor. There will be three bars in the hotel including The Palace Lounge, 50-seat Lounge Bar Privé in the sisth level, and the Royal Bar.

Other features of the property include a fitness facility equipped with exercise equipment by Technogym and Life Fitness, and a three-lane wide indoor pool measuring 20 metres in length. The pool will be framed on one side by wall-to-wall windows and an outdoor terrace.
