Men’s locker room renovation underway at WSU
Wichita State University (WSU) is undertaking the renovation of men’s locker rooms of Wichita State Shockers basketball team.
This is the first complete renovation of the men's basketball locker rooms since 2003.
The new locker rooms will feature decorative elements centered on a new Final Four theme.
It will include a trophy case, which will house the Regional Championship trophy won by the Shockers in last spring. In addition, each new locker will have an iPad dock.
The renovation was made possible with a donation of $250,000 from a Shocker alumnus.
Shocker men's basketball locker room is scheduled for completion by the end of this summer.
The University feels that the renovation of locker rooms was important as majority of athletes’ time is spent there, studying films, preparing for practices, and strategising for games.
The University also plans to renovate its additional team locker rooms in Charles Koch Arena.
