Libby Sellers chooses her favourite work by Peter Saville
Founder of Gallery Libby Sellers; curator of the retrospective Peter Saville Show (2003) at London's Design Museum (it also toured to Tokyo and Manchester)
Yohji Yamamoto catalogue, autumn/winter 1987-1988 (with fashion director Marc Ascoli and photographer Nick Knight).
I came to Peter's work a little late, but this was when I first became aware of the importance of graphic design. From its styling to its photography, its art direction and print (right down to the choice of staples), every aspect represents a considered summation of the purity of Yohji's fashion, and is just beautiful.
