Lee Broom designs Crystal bulb shop for London design festival

UK-based designer Lee broom created a Crystal Bulb Shop for the London Design Festival in UK.

The designer converted his East London studio at 93 Rivington Street into a shop-like setting, which featured sawdust floor, mahogany counter and a shopkeeper to complete the look. The design of the store was a contemporary offspring of a traditional grocery store, with a surreal twist.

The designer had juxtaposed old shop fittings with over 200 Crystal Bulbs, which were hung down the ceiling. The shop also gave an insight into the process which goes in the making of the bulb in the Cumbria Crystal factory through a short film.

The basic idea behind the shop was to showcase Crystal Bulb, the new lighting from the company that combines industrial influences with decorative qualities. The Crystal Bulb Shop also met its retail commitment by making the Crystal Bulbs available for sale.
