Hyatt tops out Hyatt Place Nashville/Downtown hotel in Tennessee

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has reached a construction milestone with the topping out of new Hyatt Place Nashville/Downtown in Tennessee, which is designed by PFVS Architects.

The new Hyatt Place is undergoing development at 301 3rd Avenue South in downtown Nashville, on the site of former Rock City Machine Co.

The 13-storey hotel will accommodate 255 guest rooms. All the guest rooms will be 20% larger than the average hotel room and will feature separate sitting and sleeping areas, a 42-inch HDTV, and a mini fridge.

In addition to that the hotel will feature 3,600 square feet of meeting space and a 175-space parking garage. The food and dining options at the new property will comprise 24/7 guest kitchen serving made-to-order snacks and entrees; Bakery Cafe; and Kitchen Skillet breakfast.

Hyatt Place Nashville/Downtown will be the sixth Hyatt Place hotel in the Nashville area and White Lodging's second hotel in Nashville. The hotel will be owned by affiliates of Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc. and White Lodging, and is the first new, select service construction venture for Host.

Construction of the hotel commenced in July 2012 and is scheduled to open in December 2013. The new Hyatt Place Nashville/Downtown will complement Music City Center, the new convention centre of Nashville, which is undergoing development on a 19 acre site and is scheduled to open in 2013.
