Carson Valley Inn in Nevada to don fresh look

Carson Valley Inn in Minden, Nevada will undergo extensive $10 million upgrade and refurbishment project that has been finalized after the change of ownership.

The transaction of the hotel from Patrick and Jeane Mulreany to Mike Pegram and his partners was finalized on January 4, 2009. The new ownership team of Mike Pegram and the Carano family has decided on an extensive renovation of the 25-year-old property. The $10 million renovation for the property will be carried out in three phases.

The first phase of the renovation will undertake putting in a new slot product. It will also include remodeling Finoa’s restaurant and changing its name to CV Steak. The sports book and bar areas will also sport new look. The Club Cal Neva will continue to operate the sports book.

A newly designed and refreshed pit table games area will be added to the casino. Multiple flat-screen televisions will also be installed. New carpeting, lighting, ceiling, improved wall treatments and tiled entrance ways are some other enhancements to be made to the space.

A state-of-the-art AAON air handling system has been installed with an intention to pump out internal casino air and 100% outside fresh air that is heated or cooled depending on the season will be pumped inside. This new air pumping system is expected to significantly reduce the smell of cigarette smoke in the casino and the hotel hallways.

Late 2010 will see phase two of the Carson Valley Inn remodeling project. Hotel rooms will get flat-screen televisions and new carpeting, mattresses, bed and bath linens. By early 2011, phase three renovations will start to remodel guest lobby areas and convention center meeting and banquet rooms will also receive some upgrades.
