Brixton Street Gallery
Time to discover the local creative talent during London Design Festival
Some of you Brixtonites may have noticed a change in scenery this past week with the launch of Brixton Street Gallery.
Initiated by Squire and Partners, the art exhibit is showcasing 10 huge canvases across the walls and pavement of the former Bon Marche on Ferndale road.
Local artists inspired by the surrounding culture and history that is Brixton have created this eclectic collection of artworks.
The public gallery is also one of the headline events for the Brixton Design Trail and includes the launch of Connect Brixton by the 'Patron Saints of Print' Eley Kishimoto, plus painting, graphics, mosaics, photography and murals.
Squire and Partners is currently revamping the space for its new creative studio and offices.
Brixton Street Gallery illustrates the originality and creativity of the local talent. It will be exhibiting until Sunday 27 September, 2015, in correlation with the London Design Festival.
