My favourite piece of work by my friend and colleague Peter is Peter. His generosity, his way of holding a cigarette, his white jeans, his white-painted studio floor, his white hotel slippers, his white towelling bath robe, his recommendation of hotels in Berlin, his deeply significant contribution to the world of design art/art design, his way of wearing his watch, his introduction to Tony Wilson and Factory Records, his eulogy at Tony's funeral (incredible), his way with words, his way with type, his poetic work, his friendship, his intricate appropriation, his falling leaf, our collaborative early work, his stories about living in LA and being stuck and broke on Mulholland Drive, his vision, his fabulous optimism and his general fabulousness. He is my surrogate brother
