Fisher & Paykel Appliances is pleased to announce the release of its world-first Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher in a sophisticated black colourway.
The new styling consists of black brushed stainless-steel front panels, with black anodised aluminium handles and buttons. “Our new DishDrawer™ Dishwasher finish is smoky and subtle” says Lauren Palmer, Fisher & Paykel’s Chief Designer for Cooking and Dishwashing. The black DishDrawer™ Dishwasher takes on a dual role in the kitchen - that of a high-performance dishwashing solution, as well as a design piece. “We listened to feedback from architects, designers and customers who were using black and darker stained timber finishes in their kitchen designs and wanted to extend this material palette across their appliances” Lauren continues.
“This finish provides a sophisticated textural contrast. It doesn’t disappear like an integrated appliance does, but it can recede into the kitchen design in a way that traditional stainless steel and white finishes cannot.” The Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher can be installed flush with your kitchen cabinetry, leaving minimal gaps and allowing a more streamlined kitchen design. According to Lauren, “it gives the customer more choice, and that’s a key aspect of design flexibility.”
Offering more choice alongside existing stainless steel or white appliances, the new DishDrawer™ Dishwasher provides a stunning contrast to a traditional kitchen while also pairing beautifully with Fisher & Paykel’s black French Door Refrigerator, black Classic Ranges, and the all new range of black Built-in Ovens.
Live out of Drawers
DishDrawer™ Dishwashers are designed to suit the lives lived around them. The new black Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher features 15 different wash programs to provide a cycle that perfectly suits your needs. These include Rinse, Fast, Delicate, Normal Eco, Normal and Heavy, to provide the ideal wash for every situation. DishDrawer™ Dishwashers boast the ability to wash everything from fine glass and crystal to heavily soiled pots and pans at the touch of a button.
Fine-tuned to run at a very low decibel rating, the Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher offers exceptionally quiet performance. Additionally, the two independently operating drawers each allow a half load. The half load function supports small, fast washes and uses less water, providing the perfect solution for simultaneous washes of different sized loads. Each drawer slides open with ease, and internal racking can be moved and customised for optimal stacking. For added safety, the child lock prevents the drawers from opening and disables the buttons.
The world’s first Dishwasher in a Drawer
Now in its ninth generation, the DishDrawer™ Dishwasher entered the marketplace over 20 years ago and received global acclaim. Consistently refined and improved, the newest generation DishDrawer™ Dishwasher is the product of over one million test cycles measuring its effectiveness against the toughest and most stubborn stains. The result is a kitchen appliance that achieves perfection in its performance, ergonomics and aesthetics.
