CHANPON - Regional Ramen noodle restaurant in Tokyo

G Architects Studio designed the new interior for a noodle restaurant near the Komazawa Olympic park.

What was the brief from the client and how much were they involved?:
simple design and to use green


How did the brief affect the materials and design choices?:
I looked for various green materials
How did your previous experience help you with this project?:
I used to work under Kengo Kuma before. I learned from him how to choose materials.


Can you explain the layout of the project:
We prepared three kinds of seats. Counter seats, table seats, Japanese tatami mats.


What problems or challenges did you face?:
The cost was limited
What do you feel were the most unusual design elements of the project?:
color graduation joint for tile: Color graduation that changes from yellow to green is used for the tile joints
