ACO Q-Brake Vortex is a designed to regulate stormwater flow before it discharges into watercourses or sewer networks.

The Q-Brake Vortex horizontal vortex flow control, unlike more conventional methods, is less prone to blockage and permits higher flow at a lower head of water, as the vortex flow control allows an outlet orifice that is 4-6 times larger in crosssectional area to be used.

Q-Brake Vortex has clear openings that are larger than traditional methods of flow control, making the system less prone to blockages. No loose parts means maintenance requirements are also reduced.

The ACO Q-Brake Vortex is fitted with an indispensible bypass door that can be opened in the event of a blockage the unit can be drained of water. There is a stainless steel wire attached to the bypass door that is run to cover level that provides control of the door. When the water level within the manhole subsides the unit can then be cleared.

Q-Brake Vortex is manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel, and individually configured to meet specific performance criteria. The seams are continuously welded for maximum strength in accordance with BS 4872.
