Yorktown Shopping Center unveils $18 million renovation project
Yorktown Shopping Center in Lombard, Illinois has unveiled an $18 million renovation project to enhance dining, shopping, and entertainment options for shoppers.
The renovation project is being led by New York-based Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. and YTC Pacific.
As part of the renovation, upgrades will be made to the shopping centre’s center court, food court, restrooms and mall entrances. The project will also add a new family lounge, new seating, landscaping, lighting, cafes and water features.
Upgrades to the food court will add 200 seats, entertainment screens and work stations for shoppers to plug in laptops, along with a family lounge. Lighter fare will be served at the food court.
Construction will begin immediately. Much of the interior work is scheduled to be completed before the holiday shopping season, while the remaining work will be completed by the end of 2014.
