World’s best restaurants with a view
#5 At.mosphere at Burj Khalifa
Dubai, UAE
Interior designer: Adam Tihany
Architect: Skidmore, Owings & Merrill
At.mosphere is located on the 122nd level of the world's tallest building Burj Khalifa, making it the world's highest restaurant (from ground level).
Up 442m, the restaurant boasts unsurpassed views of Dubai from its floor to ceiling windows.
Award-winning interior designer Adam Tihany produced the eloquent and revered design of the restaurant. Hand-polished mahogany wood makes up the walls, while the furniture comes in shades of amethyst and cocoa.
The restaurant features overhead glass displays, decanting tables and a beverage display wall. A polished exhibition grill divided by a beautiful marble and glass wall separates the private and main dining area.
At.mosphere also has a lounge area which features patterned velvets, natural woven textiles and leathers in addition to the overall colour scheme of amethyst hues. The textiles channel a unique design and luxurious colour palette of chocolate, caramel and hints of cream.
