#1 The Signature Room at the 95th, John Hancock Centre

The Signature Room is situated on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Center in Chicago where it is said that visibility can span four states on a clear day.

The John Hancock building itself is 100 stories high, 1,127ft, and was designed by Skidmore, Ownings & Merrill with chief designer Bruce Graham.

The floor to ceiling windows showcases the up to 96km views, including Lake Michigan and Downtown Chicago's skyscrapers.

Narrow window panels elongate the walls and add a sense of refinement compared to the wider window panels often seen.

Everything about the interior works cohesively. Rich mahogany wooden floors bring light and warmth into the restaurant, simplistic dark wooden chairs use plush leather seating and suede backs to provide comfort, which complement the yellow ceiling and the like.
The restaurant is double-story, allowing diners to get a closer look at the artwork adorning the walls in sync with its art deco interior. Chicago artist Gregory Grove also features one of his mural paintings in the dining area.

The original interior design and remodel was performed by award-winning architect Keith Youngquist. Chicago-born, Youngquist co-founded Aumiller Youngquist, P.C. at 26 years of age, and went on to receive the Platinum Circle Lifetime Achievement in Hospitality Design Award. Since, the executive team at Signature Room has done various upgrades and remodeling of its own.

The overall atmosphere at The Signature Room is warm, inviting and holds an essence of subtle luxury.
