US-based home appliances manufacturer Whirlpool has launched the new Absolute range of fridge freezers, which with modern exterior finishes and eco night functionality, has been designed to save more energy.

Created with more versatile and flexible design elements, the new combi-refrigeration features environment-friendly as well as energy saving design elements. Its eco night functionality saves energy as well as money by programming the timer to run defrosting cycles during the time of choosing. This simultaneously optimises performance and energy consumption.

The ‘A++’ class Absolute refrigerators are equipped with an advanced electronic interface and an efficient variable speed compressor that together reduce energy consumption by 25% when compared to the average energy consumption of a Whirlpool equivalent appliance in the ‘A+’ class.

In addition to that the new range is also equipped with various modern functionalities to conserve food longer as well as maintain its colour, shape and aroma. Its 6th Sense Fresh Control technology with the Activ0°compartment keeps the food fresh by using advanced sensors to constantly check temperature and humidity levels inside the entire fridge cavity. An intelligent algorithm independently drives the compressor and fan to maintain the ideal conditions, restoring conservation temperatures five times faster and actively sustaining the proper humidity level at all times.

Designed to store meat and fish, the Activ0° compartment maintains the temperature at around 0°C, which keeps the food fresh. Providing practicality and optimisation of space, the system can be turned off and the compartment can be used for normal storage.

The new Absolute range is available in three new models, each with different configurations.
