#2 Zombie bench, Neon

This bizarre bench was the winner of RIBA's Pews & Perches competition, designed by Neon, a London and Melbourne based design company founded by Mark Nixon and George King.

With the goal of creating a unique bench for the now derelict London Pleasure Gardens, the design won hands down (or up?) for its striking look.

Formed in collaboration with Gray Concrete, the bench was created with 70 prefabricated concrete arms that protrude from the ground as if from a graveyard tomb.
