Here at DesignCurial we want to draw attention to the sanitation crisis hitting many cities while also admiring toilets around the world for their craftmanship in architecture and design.

In annual celebration of World Toilet Day, we've put our judging hats on and have sifted through thousands of public toilets entries from around the world to pick the very best in design, architecture and cleanliness.

From Japan to Australia, the US to Switzerland, DesignCurial have updated their loo list. We have straw-bale urinals, emerging steel pillars and cherry blossom gardens amongst the public toilets that struck gold this year.
