Although the golden age of the tower block may be behind us, Broadcasting Place Tower in Leeds represents the modern face of the tower block - and with its cladding of rusted steel its design is no less bold and uncompromising that its concrete forebears. The tower was named best new tall building in 2010 by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).
