SAKO designs Honeycomb restaurant in China


SAKO Architects has designed a unique Chinese restaurant named Honeycomb in Shenzhen, China. The restaurant covers a total area of 1300 square meters and features a large hall and private VIP rooms.


The interior of the restaurant uses white opaque surface for large space partition and transparent acrylic surface for small spaces. The unique shape of the restaurant complements the name as it resembles a honeycomb. The appearance of the restaurant not only makes it a fine place to dine but also brings a sense of relaxation to those who visit it.

Keiichiro Sako of SAKO Architect is a visiting scholar at Columbia University. He has worked as an overseas artist for Agency for Cultural Affairs. He established SAKO Architects in 2004. Sako is a graduate from the Tokyo Institute of Technology. He also holds masters degree from the same institute.

Some of the company's recent projects are GOBI in Ulaanbaatar, EIFINI2 in Chengdu , KID'S REPUBLIC4 in Shangahi.
