Richard Brendon creates teaware collection in 'the world's favourite colour'

What’s your favourite colour? If you said green then the rest of the world agrees with you.

UK Papersmiths G. F. Smith, recently commissioned a global survey to discover the world’s favourite colour and can confirm that the world loves green. Marrs green to be specific.

The winning colour was chosen after thousands of people from over 100 countries voted for their favourite hue.

Named in honour of Annie Marrs, who chose the shade closest to the winning colour, G.F. Smith invited a select group of British brands to develop products celebrating the world’s favourite colour.

In response to this announcement, Richard Brendon has created a limited edition teaware collection.

"When I heard about GF Smith’s campaign to find the world’s favourite colour I knew I wanted to become involved. I have seen at first hand how the use of colour can change perceptions and influence how we respond to objects. Like us, this UK company shares similar values of quality, craftsmanship and fine design, so working together was a perfect fit.  Using Marrs Green has given a bold new look to our fine bone china collection and will appeal to a new audience." Said Richard Brendon, Founder and CEO.

This teaware set follows on from the original collection entitled Richard Brendon meets PATTERNITY, a collaboration between Richard Brendon and pattern visionaries PATTERNITY, to change the perception of what British bone china could look like. The result was an innovatively designed collection that introduced an entirely new audience to bone china.

The latest collection is equally striking. Plates, side plates, cups and saucers, teapots and milk jugs have all been produced with the candy stripe green and white pattern running through the collection.

"Collaborating with PATTERNITY was an exciting opportunity, allowing us the freedom to explore how pattern, in our case a bold and striking stripe, could result in something fresh and innovative.  We are thrilled that this collection has become a recognisable example of what modern bone china looks like." Brendon said.

The limited edition run of Richard Brendon meets PATTERNITY in Marrs Green is available direct from www.richardbrendon.com until Christmas 2017. It is also on sale at G. F. Smith’s London showroom, 27-28 Eastcastle Street, London
