Priestmangoode designs new cabin interiors

Priestmangoode has designed new cabin interiors for Thai Airways International’s new B777 planes, showcasing the carrier’s new ‘Royal Silk Class’ seat, as well as redesigning the airline’s economy cabins. The plane’s upper class interior focuses on materials in tones of purple with wood accents and ambient lighting that aim to create a ‘comfortable passenger environment.’

'We wanted to create a visual identity that was unmistakably Thai,' said Luke Hawes, director at Priestmangoode, of the concept behind the new designs. 'The new designs present a contemporary Thai style, which embodies authentic Thai traditions with an incredibly sophisticated palette of colours and finishes reflecting this rich culture.' The fit-out is part of a larger programme to redesign the interior identity of the entire Thai Airways fleet, which started in 2013. priestmangoode.com
