Nomiya replaces Hotel Everland in Paris

Designed by the artist Laurent Grasso, the Nomiya restaurant has replaced the Hotel Everland on the roof of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris for a year.

Part of the 'Art Home' culinary project by the Palais de Tokyo and Electrolux, the glass cube designed by Grasso is the story of encounters between the Electrolux brand of home appliances and the Palais de Tokyo, Center for Contemporary Art.

Deriving its name from the tiny Japanese bars, Chef Gilles Stassart, former manager of the Transversal au Mac/Val, demonstrates his skills in Nomiya. Created in cooperation with Laurent Grasso's brother, the architect Pascal Grasso, Nomiya offers tours and cooking ateliers, workshops, breakfast and dinners with views of Paris.

Each tour gives the customers a chance to explore the exceptional space of Art Home. Passing by the terrace and garden, and the rooftop of the Palais de Tokyo, one enters straight to the Nomiya dining room, which offers panoramic views of the City of Lights.

Treating the public with French and international contemporary art, the Palais de Tokyo is a convergence of styles from abstract, minimalism and chainsaw sculptures to zombies, mutants and readymade works offering a fresh, uninhibited look at contemporary art from the point of view of the artists themselves.

Chef Gilles Stassart, creator of the MAC/VAL restaurant Transversal, brings together flavors and sensations with culinary art and contemporary creations. As the culinary project’s artistic director, Gille describes the ArtHome concept as a time to relax, savor and share. He says that they are proposing a brand new culinary experience in order to discover the rich multitude of stories that food has to tell.

Electrolux, one of the iconic brands of daily lives, has simplified the lives of generations of consumers. Through Art Home, Electrolux, which allows free rein to creativity in all serenity, restored the time of the meal under the sign of the exchange, and the connivance of the transmission to the general public.
