New foldout solar-powered restaurant concept from Daniel Noiseux

Daniel Noiseux, the founder and owner of the Canadian restaurant chain ‘Pizzaiolle’, has unveiled a conceptual foldout restaurant named ‘Müvbox’, created from a shipping container in Montreal, Canada.

Müvbox is a standard 8 feet deep and 20 feet long shipping container. The box has been reinvented as a fast food restaurant powered by solar energy. The transformation can be achieved in 90 seconds at the touch of a button.

Müvbox features a fully functional kitchen and a wood-fired pizza oven. The wall of the container when folded out offers sufficient dining space for 28 people.

This concept design is not devoid of eco-friendly features; the entire structure is a reused container and the floor features recycled tires and the roof is installed with solar panels to provide up to 40% of the required energy. The foldout restaurant can be easily moved from one place to another, by land or sea.

Every night, Müvbox vanishes back into its cube, redeploying early the next morning in less than two minutes, at the touch of a button.
