Location: Mazarron, Spain
Architects: Xpiral architects
Lead architect and founder of Xpiral architects, Jever Pena, transformed two separate residences into one welcoming home, beautifully perched on the coast of Spain.
At the request of the homeowners, the house has been designed to entertain guests with a friendly ambience.
The previous house didn't take advantage of the breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding environment, not mention the building systems and materials were outdated. Xpiral changed this entirely and produced a refreshing and ultra-modern look.
A stand-out element to help this modern architecture home fully capture a contemporary vibe is an artistic white crochet network - much like a sailor's rope or anchor chains - that wraps around the house exterior.
The interior features a palette of white and wood colouring, with interesting accents: a bright orange shower room adds a pop of vibrancy; a log staircase adds an industrial element, finishing on a patterned green floor.
