Hyatt Regency in Kansas City to receive $13 million facelift


The Hyatt Regency in Kansas City, Missouri, is set to begin work a $13 million refurbishment project.


The facility will be rebranded as Sheraton Crown Centre after the makeover. The 733 rooms guest rooms in the hotel will be equipped with upgraded features matching up with AAA’s Five Diamond Award standards post renovation work. The features include installation of large work desk, customised ergonomic chair, LCD flat panel TVs, and MP3 docking stations. The rooms will also feature the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed in white tones.

The revamped lobby will incorporate the Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft to facilitate interpersonal or online interactions. The project will also create the Sheraton Crown Centre with over 95,000 square feet of meeting area fitted with latest technology. The centre will be used to host meetings and other social events.

Other amenities provided by the hotel following the facelift include an indoor and outdoor pool, the Sheraton Club Lounge, an advanced facility with Sheraton Fitness programmed by Core Performance as well as the Link@Sheraton Café.

The facility is due to open on 1 January 2012.
