FX Awards 2015: The winners
The winners for the 2015 FX Awards have been announced
Last night (Wednesday 25 November 2015) the FX Awards celebrated 17 years of world-class design excellence. Thanks to the continuous support we now have a truly international status with global submissions comprising 50 per cent of our entries. So by winning tonight you really are the best in the world.
As a result, with so many VIP architects and designers in attendance, I am humbled that you have travelled across the world to join FX for one night only at this fabulous party. Our industry is known for its colourful characters and it's here that you get to meet them!
The strength of the FX Awards is directly attributable to our judging panel, which I invite as new each year to keep the event on its toes. Each judge has been invited for their integrity, opinions and experience to reflect your interests. And while I didn't judge myself, this year I have recruited 20 judges, our largest panel ever, to argue your corner. In some of the most hotly contested categories we had as many as eight judges putting the case for the entries. They care as much as I do about the value of these awards - and the debates were magnificent!
And with our four prestigious awards, as voted by FX readers worldwide, I am delighted that you have voted Mark Major as the Outstanding Lifetime Contribution to Design. Our first-ever lighting designer to receive this accolade! Fantastic news. Thank you!
