FX and Blueprint at the Tate Modern Turbine Festival

FX and Blueprint provide magazines to be shredded for the festival

This weekend the Tate Modern is hosting the Turbine Festival, featuring installations, film, music, performances, food, dance and more.

FX and Blueprint magazines are playing their part by providing old magazine copies to be shredded and used in the festival's installation: SIT.

Members of the public are invited to create a cushion by stuffing it with the shredded mediums and use it to sit on throughout the festival to watch the performances and other activities.

At 5pm on July 25th, the public are requested to sit wherever they are at the time - which provides us with extra motivation to create a cushion.

Catalina Pollak-Williamson of Public Interventions (2012) is the artist/architect behind the project, and created approximately 2,000 cushion cases for the event.

'I invite everybody to SIT at 5pm!' said Pollak-Williamson.
