1 Lucent: Prospex Plus round trimless downlight For a high-end and more traditional retail application, the Prospex Plus provides a discreet, low-glare and punchy inconspicuous light source. It's available with LED Xicato modules (to match other light sources/brands of luminaire) or Lucent's own LED 50 chip. Aiming is done via a spring-loaded adjustable screw that enables you to hot aim the fixture with a screwdriver and lock the position.

2 Osram: LINEARlight Power Flex At both 22.5W a metre and 10W a metre this linear LED profile can be used under shelves, joinery, for feature lighting or within architectural coffers for ambient lighting. The LED and profile can be cut down and installed on site, often a requirement for shopfitters.

3 Flos Architectural: UT Spot A very simple and uncluttered aesthetic, the UT has a clean beam with good colour rendition and a very punchy LED lumen package. The price point, finish and design detail represent good value for money and we have recently used them to refresh a number of tired track schemes, which have myriad luminaires with varying metal halide/halogen light sources.
