1. Light + Building 2022 1
3 – 18 March

Frankfurt, Germany

‘Breaking new ground’ is the motto for the next edition of the Light + Building fair. Exhibitors – including lighting and luminaire design, connected security and building automation, intelligent energy management and providers of e-charging infrastructure – will show a range of products and services on the subjects of lighting and building service technology.

2. Spot On: Women Designers in the Collection

This exhibition seeks to strengthen awareness of women designers’ works and to give them an equal voice in public discourse. Both individual designers and design collectives, studios, and partnerships are examined. Changing displays will spotlight new acquisitions and archival treasures from the Vitra Schaudepot collection.

In the exhibition series Louisiana On Paper, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art has presented works on paper by a number of artists over the years. The upcoming show, featuring drawings by Peter Cook, marks the first exhibition in the series showcasing drawings by an architect.

4. Sheila Hicks: Off Grid

This major exhibition explores the many facets of Hicks’s ground-breaking work. It provides insight into how her extensive travels across several continents has deeply informed and inspired her work. Collapsing the boundaries between art, architecture and design, Hicks has increasingly engaged with public spaces outside of art gallery environments.

Now in its final weeks, Design for Our Times is a showcase of material innovation that offers inspiring, practical and desirable solutions to issues of re-sourcing, repurposing and reuse. The selected design initiatives represent distinct practices working today in Scotland in the fields of product design, interior design, environmental design and construction.
