Cassa Hotel & Residences to be unveiled in New York in August 2010

The Cassa Hotel & Residences, designed by world renowned Mexican architect Enrique Norten of TEN Arquitectos in collaboration with New York-based design firm CetraRuddy, will be unveiled in New York City in August 2010.

The 48-story Cassa Hotel & Residences features 166 rooms and 57 residences. The elegantly proportioned exterior of the hotel rises as an obelisk among its traditional neighbors, offering a new design statement to the New York City skyline.

Rich in texture and contemporary in design, the new property features an intimate lobby that is adorned with black volcanic walls polished in a matte sheen. This offers a unique contradictory texture that appears at once as a soft yet a rugged wall surface. The boomerang-shaped reception desk is unique for its deep red color. Natural light floods through a two-story glass wall.

Cassa Hotel’s 166 well-appointed guest rooms feature buttery cream colored leather seating and ottomans. Black leather studded headboards, Frette Linens, flatscreen TVs, and a snack bar stocked with Dean and DeLuca goodies are also featured. The photography of Irene Mamiye adorns every room.

Cassa Hotel & Residences is developed by residential, retail and commercial property developer Assa Properties and managed by Desires Hotels, a full service boutique hotel management company. The building is situated near Times Square, Bryant Park and 5th Avenue at 70 West 45th Street.
