Canada’s Coast Lethbridge Hotel gets a new restaurant

The construction of Firestone restaurant of Alberta-based Cheesecake Cafe chain is underway at Coast Lethbridge.

Firestone restaurant, patio and bar, a new franchise of the Cheesecake Cafe chain, will be a 8,000 square feet space with 270 seats at Lethbridge Hotel, formerly the El Rancho. The design and décor of the restaurant will mainly feature leather, wood and stone.

Jeff Gliege, a Lethbridge entrepreneur who purchased the first Firestone franchise, states that the restaurant will not be a typical hotel restaurant. The restaurant is expected to cater mostly locals and the main entrance of the restaurant will face the street. The restaurant will feature an 80-seat patio facing the street. Its décor will be designed to match with the interior of the 100-seat dining area and its 90-seat lounge.

Firestone will be located in the east face of the hotel which is currently undergoing major renovation. The parking area in front of the former El Rancho coffee shop will be transformed into a patio use and landscaping.
