Cabela's to open new store in Polaris
US-based outdoor gear and apparel retailer Cabela's is planning to open its new store in Polaris, Ohio.
The new store will be spread over 80, 000 square feet and will be the first in the state of Ohio. The unique design of the store will feature an indoor mountain complete with faux vegetation and a display of animals, including elk, polar bears and coyotes, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
Evoking a log cabin feel, the store will also feature a large gun section, an indoor archery, a large aquarium, and about 40 flavours of fudge. Noises of all the featured animals can be heard inside the store.
The new Cabela's store will offer merchandise devoted to ice fishing, deer hunting and turkey hunting. The store will open in March 2013.
Cabela’s, which opened its first store in 2008, is planning to open the Columbus store in 2013, followed by stores in Michigan and Kentucky, and two in Denver.
