Berlinrodeo designs Bond film-styled restaurant in Germany

Berlinrodeo has designed Restaurant Bond Berlin, displaying the glamorous style of the 60s and 70s Bond films, infusing it with a modern sensibility.

The German firm has integrated specially designed abstract ornamentation for the restaurant's interior design, to evoke the style of the Bond movies, and these components are used to divide the restaurant into different zones.

A golden-lit bar with an opposing wine shelf acts as the centerpiece. The bar and the wine shelf are custom made for the restaurant. A smoking lounge is located at the stern, designed as a communicative element. The lounge is equipped with an ethanol fireplace.

The lighting design in the restaurant is made distinct by computer-controlled LED system, which changes lighting moods and intensities. The LED system is installed behind surveillance mirrors and thus remains hidden.

The Bond element is further accentuated by floor-to-ceiling Bond-inspired graffiti by Berlin artists M:M. The color spectrum of the graffiti alters from black to gold to rosewood. The art element is adorned with smoked glass to enrich the design.

Berlinrodeo was responsible for design, execution, detail, lighting design, construction, and furnishing of the three month long project. The design, with its 3D perspective display, has incorporated proposals from Berlinrodeo in conjunction with the owners’ and operators’ ideas.
