NOOM presents their first mirrors collection “Lakes”

Ukrainian design brand NOOM has presented a nature-inspired collection of sculptural mirrors that contrast a curved mirror surface with slabs of brass, copper, marble, onyx, and other attractive materials.

‘Lakes’ is a collection of five mirrors with aquatic lines that were designed by French designers Maryna Dague and Nathan Baraness for the brand NOOM.

The collection takes its name from the shorelines of lakes and aerial views of stretches of water and their sinuous shapes, represented in the design. The designers have emphasized the contrast between the fluid shapes of the glass and the straight lines of the mirrors' bases, by which the mirrors are fixed to the wall or placed on the floor. These bases can be made of slabs of wood, brass, oxidized copper, marble, onyx, and other attractive materials to choose from.

"We are fascinated by the natural materials, such as wood, stones, and metals because of their amazing natural patterns and colors echoing with the reflections of mirrors' liquid forms." – said Paris-based designers. “As well these materials perfectly work together with the flowing lines of mirrors, creating one eye-catching structure”.

The collection features five designs, including a floor mirror, with different bases to choose from. Each unique mirror goes through a multi-step production process where we pay exceptional attention to the details.
