Noho and Formway introduce 'Dine' table range

Home is where the table is—from the evening meal to the elaborate dinner party and everything in between. Long-time collaborators Noho and Formway introduce Dine, a range of timelessly elegant, multi-purpose tables; driven by creating a beautiful object that is easy to ship, intuitive to assemble and designed with considered materials.

New Zealand-based powerhouse collaborators, Noho and Formway, are launching the Dine range of tables in March 2024.

The dining table is where we gather, learn, share and laugh. It’s the silent partner in our homes' rich yet complicated dining space, the heart and soul of the home—always there, always dependable. The Dine range is designed to support the many activities we undertake within the space. The range is simple, elegant and up for anything, anywhere.

“The dining space is such a rich, charismatic space, so the product needed to enhance the moments shared with family and friends.”—Fabian Haarbeck, Lead Designer, Formway

Noho’s focus has always been on delivering sustainable products to the market, and Dine is no exception. The Dine range uses the minimal amount of material and number of parts, all consciously sourced—from the FSC certified tabletops to the recycled and low-carbon aluminium frame and legs made predominantly from domestic aluminium waste like old alloy wheels and transmission cables. Dine’s material selection allows the range to age gracefully, offering a rich, natural texture and creating a warm and inviting centre to the home.

“We set out to design a timeless piece of furniture using quality craftsmanship paired with modern industrial processes to offer a product of exceptional quality and character.”—Fabian Haarbeck, Lead Designer, Formway

Dine is the third piece of furniture designed by Formway for Noho. Formway has drawn on decades of experience in creating innovative furniture for the commercial world. The Formway approach is led by research and user insights into what people want and need in their homes and workplaces. The design process of Dine has moved between theory, computer simulation and real-world building, prototyping and testing to ensure the product fits with our lives. The range is designed to last a lifetime and is engineered to surpass the toughest commercial strength, durability and stability standards.

The Dine range of tables fits effortlessly into the Noho product family—including the highly regarded Noho Move Chair and the recently released Lightly Chair, which won Dezeen’s ‘Furniture Design of the Year’ for 2023.

The Dine range is available in a medium 4-6 seater, and a large 6-8 seater in a range of four FSC-certified, handcrafted table tops in Mist white or Ironsand black laminate or Dark and Natural finished Ash. The range comes with either Mist white or Ironsand black aluminium frame and legs. The Dine range is made in New Zealand using 82% renewable energy.
