Combine safety and design with Amtico’s Signature 36+ collection

British flooring manufacturer Amtico has introduced new laying patterns to make it easier for specifiers and designers to incorporate designs from the flagship Signature collection into its safety flooring.

Designers’ Choice laying patterns are now available to specify alongside the Amtico Signature 36+ luxury vinyl tile (LVT) safety flooring collection, providing the opportunity to craft design-led safety floors with the added benefit of enhanced slip resistance.

Signature 36+ can be specified in 23 laying patterns in over 100 Designers’ Choice options, a curated selection of the in-house design team’s favourite combinations of products, as well as unique versions that can be created by switching out one or all of the products with Amtico’s Endless Possibilities option.

The laying patterns include designs that were launched in the Signature collection last year and are rooted in timeless allure and authenticity to create commercial spaces people can connect with. The versatile ‘wood’ designs can be used to enhance the features of a character building or bring a luxurious feel to modern projects.

Gable Parquet, with its artistic interpretation of the spliced wood trend, redefines the familiarity of parquet with dramatic directionality in a single-coloured wood. Meanwhile, Versailles Parquet dances between residential and commercial, having been inspired by the opulence of the Palace of Versailles with a luxurious and grand twist on Amtico’s existing Basket Weave laying pattern.

The Stone laying patterns support designers in creating very classical or retro spaces, through to contemporary and industrial aesthetics. Gatsby Square reflects the spliced wood trend but with chunky tiles to evoke an authentic, weighty stone aesthetic.

Amtico’s in-house design and manufacturing team also created two semi-circle laying patterns – Lune and Arc – with eye-catching curves and bold shapes intricately cut from LVT. Lune, available in small and large, dazzles in Marble or adds a retro feel using the new Colour Edit palette, while Arc features softer waves and organic curves that soothe occupants and complement the current trend for healing spaces in workplace design.

But when is a safety floor, not a safety floor? When it doesn’t meet the BS EN 13845 Enhanced Slip Standard. The standard defines the minimum performance a floor or tile must have to be called a safety floor officially. It not only defines slip performance but also shows that it is sustainable throughout its life, due to the crushed ceramic particles in the wear surface still being present after many cycles of wear or abrasion. Signature 36+ meets the standard to provide enhanced slip resistance throughout its lifetime while ensuring specifiers no longer need to compromise on design possibilities.

Made-to-order in Coventry, Amtico Signature 36+ LVT safety flooring has a durable 1mm wear layer, a 20-year commercial warranty and antimicrobial protection against bacteria and viruses. To find out more, visit www.amtico.com/commercial.
