A New Benchmark In Climate Control – The Third Generation Daikin Emura

With climate control systems for residential properties, the design of the indoor units is often just as important as the performance. That is why Daikin has developed a range of stylishly designed indoor units including the award-winning Emura III.

In contrast to other indoor air conditioning units, which can be angular and obtrusive, especially in a residential setting, Emura has smooth, curved lines. This creates a unique shape and helps the unit to appear slimmer and inconspicuous, and with a width of only 90 centimetres, the Emura unit fits neatly above a door. Emura blends harmoniously with interior schemes and is available in silver, matt white and matt black. The soft lines and high-end design are the reason why Emura has been recognised in 2022 by two of the world’s most prestigious awards for innovative product design – the iF DESIGN AWARD and Red Dot Product Design Award.

Nevertheless, Daikin Emura is a climate control solution that balances form and function. It has been engineered to provide a comfortable environment in both heating and cooling modes. Its Coanda effect functionality optimises the flow of air around the room for a better, more even temperature distribution, even in larger spaces. Emura has an intelligent thermal sensor and uses specially designed auto-swing louvres to adjust the airflow pattern both vertically and horizontally to direct warm and cool air where it is needed. Furthermore, thanks to the new heat boost function, the set temperature is reached faster – up to 14% quicker than other air conditioning units.

In addition, Emura also helps ensure high levels of indoor air quality. It features FlashStreamer Technology, which uses a stream of electrons to safely breakdown harmful airborne particles by triggering chemical reactions. The Emura unit also includes a silver air filter to capture allergens such as pollen and dust mites alongside a titanium apatite filter that eliminates odours, including from pets and cigarette smoke.

Daikin Emura has been designed to operate with minimal human intervention, unless the user wants to make a change. Any desired adjustments can be made in a variety of ways, depending on the preferences of the user. The Emura remote control has a minimalist design focused on the functions needed for day-to-day operation. Alternatively, the intuitive Onecta app allows full control from anywhere. Emura also features voice command capabilities to allow control main system functions via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

To deliver superb performance and exceptional energy efficiency, the Emura indoor unit is paired with a redesigned outdoor unit that includes Daikin’s air-to-air heat pump technology. The system draws energy from the outdoor air, even in colder temperatures, and features Bluevolution technology and a highly efficient compressor to achieve seasonal efficiency values up to A+++ in cooling and heating. The reduced energy requirements and CO2 emissions as well as the lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) of the R-32 refrigerant minimises the overall environmental impact of the system.

Daikin Emura III has set the benchmark for residential climate control. It combines beautiful but unobtrusive design with the latest innovations to deliver the performance and comfort required while ensuring excellent indoor air quality and a minimised environmental impact.
