The church-like architecture of the store explores the relationship between body and space. A pure, simple layout features a symbolic ‘milestone’ placed on the central axis representing a starting point for SND becoming an international brand.

The design team not only took into consideration the site’s narrow and linear characteristics, but also the brand’s functional requirements. Circulation routes through the unique layout are clear, and all products can be easily viewed as customers walk through.

Seen from outside, the shop’s layout and material textures create a memorable landscape for passersby. The Mirror Room at the centre feels both psychedelic and futuristic. Within the cube, a symmetrical design feels sacred and ceremonial.

Jewellery is displayed in the long, straight display case along the middle for close browsing; haute couture is displayed on both sides, illuminated with soft lighting to show the texture of the clothes. The curved reception desk stands at the heart of the space, dividing the display and rest areas in the cube while offering a point of assistance to customers.

Various Associates has overcome conventional ideas of store design. Window display areas have been maximised while retaining the flexibility and diversity of product displays, offering more possibilities for brand activities and presentations. This innovative design makes a great visual impact for branding.
