Amanda Levete is a Stirling Prize-winning architect and founder and principal of AL_A, an international award-winning design and architecture studio. Since its formation in 2009, AL_A has refined an intuitive and strategic approach to design. Recently completed projects include the Victoria & Albert Museum Exhibition Road Quarter (2017) in London, the V&A’s largest building project in over 100 years and the MAAT (2016) — Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology in Lisbon.

Ben van Berkel studied architecture at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and at the Architectural Association in London. In 1988 he and Caroline Bos set up the architectural practice UNStudio in Amsterdam, extending their theoretical and writing projects to the practice of architecture. Current projects include the design for Doha’s Integrated Metro Network in Qatar, and in 2017 UNStudio completed the Raffles City mixed-use development in Hangzhou.

Daniel Libeskind

Polish-American architect Daniel Libeskind is also a professor, designer, artist and virtuoso musician. He formed Studio Libeskind with his wife Nina in 1989. He is responsible for many major schemes around the world often typified by their angular geometry, including the Denver Art Museum, the Jewish Museum in Berlin and the Imperial War Museum North in Salford. Since 2003, he has masterplanned one of the world’s most high-profile projects — the World Trade Center site in New York.

Recently knighted, David Adjaye was born in Tanzania and his influences range from ‘contemporary art, music and science to African art forms and the civic life of cities’. He formed Adjaye Associates in 2000 and has completed a wealth of internationally acclaimed projects. He has taught at the Royal College of Art and Architectural Association in London, and has held professorships at the universities of Pennsylvania, Yale and Princeton and is the John C Portman Design Critic in Architecture at Harvard.

Dominique Price
Director, M Moser Associates

Dominique Price is an award-winning architect and academic practitioner based in San Francisco, founder of SI\SA, an independent soft architectural integration initiative, and director of M Moser Associates where she has global reach to over 15 offices. Price previously worked at Will Bruder Architects and Studio Gang Architects and has led designs of soft urbanism hybrids for clients such as Airbnb, Rocketspace and Visa, as well as schemes for culture-conscious universities and developers.

Erdem Çenesiz
Chairman, Turkishceramics

Erdem Çenesiz studied business administration at graduate level before going on to take a master’s degree in business administration analysis. He is chairman of the board of directors of ECE Group, which was founded in 1946. Among many other roles that he holds, he is also currently chairman of the Cement, Glass, Ceramics and Soil Products Exporters’ Association, and the Tunisia Business Council, as well as CEO of Ideal Standard in Turkey. He is the chairman of our headline sponsor the Turkishceramics Federation.

A graduate of the University of São Paulo’s School of Architecture and Urbanism, Fernanda Marques’ career has been marked by the same conceptual thread that characterised her formative years. She remains interested in integrating various disciplines within a single project: construction, interiors, product design, visual communication and landscaping. She has worked on residences in the US, the UK, Brazil, Portugal and France.

James Dilley
Head of ID / Hospitality, Jestico + Whiles

James Dilley leads the hospitality and interior design studio at Jestico + Whiles with particular expertise in the design of hotels, as well as restaurants, clubs, specialist retail and cinemas, amassing over 20 years of experience in this sector. Dilley is currently leading the Jestico + Whiles teams on hotel projects both in the UK and internationally including Malta, Marrakesh, Berlin, Amsterdam and Tbilisi, with an exciting new W Hotel in Edinburgh currenly in design.

Principal, Büro Ole Scheeren

Ole Scheeren is a German born architect, renowned for his highly innovative buildings. At the helm of Büro Ole Scheeren, he designed The Interlace, lauded World Building of the Year 2015, and had the Guardian Art Center in Beijing, the DUO Tower in Singapore and MahaNakhon in Bangkok open in the last year. While previously a partner at OMA, he designed the Prada Epicenters in New York and Los Angeles, and the groundbreaking, angular, CCTV media headquarters in Beijing.

Tina Norden Director, Conran + Partners

Tina Norden
Director, Conran + Partners

Tina Norden joined Conran + Partners in 1997 and is an interior designer and architect with a diverse portfolio stretching across many contexts and continents, from hotel and restaurant design to high-end residential. She began working in Asia over 18 years ago completing projects such as Hotel Icon, Mandarin Oriental, PMQ, Roppongi Hills and Futako Tamagawa. She is currently working on two new Park Hyatt hotel projects in Jakarta and Auckland, as well as several boutique hotels across Europe.
