Concord has launched the Beacon XL Muse, the latest innovation in its award winning Beacon Muse family. The Beacon XL Muse is the ultimate tool for a designer or end user, providing complete control and adjustability over the luminaire.
Specifically designed for museums, shoplighting, display and gallery applications, the Beacon XL Muse features an LED luminaire lumen output of up to 2,884lm combined with an adjustable beam angle from 10° to 70° without the need for additional lenses or reflectors, as well providing a dimmable range between 5-100% via on-board, DALI or Bluetooth Casambi remote control.
Wireless dimming of the luminaire is controlled through in-built Casambi lighting control technology, when paired with a smartphone via a free application. Scenarios can be set up with single or multiple luminaires, and light levels can be set according to the needs of the end user. This wireless feature adds great benefit to the luminaire where multiple occupants require different lighting needs.
Producing a very high quality of light at 97CRI, the Beacon XL Muse provides the ideal output for museums and galleries where colours, textures and detail are essential. Available in warm white 3000K and white 4000K, the luminaire is perfectly suited to display settings.
The Beacon XL Muse incorporates a multitude of customisable aspects. The luminaire can be physically adjusted, with a rotation of 355° providing a near full range from a fixed position. This is an imperative feature for luminaires showcasing exhibits that can often be subject to change. As the Beacon XL Muse is flexible, the light can be adjusted to follow new arrivals in galleries or to change the focus within a museum at minimal cost and disruption.
Achieving up to 70lm/w, and with an extended life time, the Beacon XL Muse is an efficient luminaire as well. This provides benefits in hard access installations, such as high ceilings, minimising the maintenance work required.
