Bolton Gate’s rolling smoke curtains restrict the lateral spread of smoke and hot gases from the underneath of a ceiling, roof or balcony in a building if there is a fire.
Bolton Gate rolling smoke curtains used as part of a smoke control system can create smoke reservoirs that allow smoke and hot gases to be extracted or can stop the spread of smoke and so allow valuable time for any occupants to escape.
The smoke curtains have successfully been tested to meet the requirements of BS 7346 Part 3, BS 476 Part 20 and BS EN 12101-1. The smoke curtains are supplied with a gravity fail safe system that ensures closure in case of power failure. The smoke curtains are available in wide spans and they can be face fixed, soffit fixed or suspended on rods. Bolton Gates smoke curtains are available in unlimited widths due to an overlap system with smoke curtains up to five metres wide being serviced by single span rollers.
