Announcing the FX Awards 2019 Winners!

Following our FX Awards 2019 ceremony, we're proud to release the full list of winners here. Read on for winners, shortlisted entries, judges' comments and project descriptions!

This year has seen a fabulous shortlist comprising the best of your projects from around the world. It’s thanks to your continuous support that we now have a truly international status, with global submissions comprising almost half of our overall entries. If you’re one of our winners tonight you really are the best in the world.

I am humbled you have all travelled from across the globe to join us for one night only at this fabulous party. Our industry is known for its wild and colourful characters, and they’re all here this evening! I invite a new panel of judges each year to keep the event on its toes. And to give everyone the maximum chance of winning we had a diff erent group of judges for each category, so if you didn’t win in one category there was every opportunity you could be successful in another.

The value of our awards is directly attributable to our judges. As I don’t ever take on judging duties myself – my role is simply to recruit the best experts to champion your entries – I’m delighted to have had 22 top-class professionals on board. Every judge was invited for their integrity, opinions, experience and to reflect your interests. They fought hard to argue everyone’s corner, and honestly, didn’t back down on supporting you – in some of the most hotly contested categories we have had as many as 10 presenting their arguments. They care passionately about the shortlist and this year’s winners. And I wouldn’t have it any other way!

I’ve also got to thank you for voting online for the four prestigious awards chosen by FX readers worldwide. I am delighted you have chosen – with brilliant insight and impeccable judgment – to reward Studio Shaw, Adam Nathaniel Furman, Softroom, and Sarah Wigglesworth, who wins the Outstanding Lifetime Contribution to Design accolade. These are fantastic results and such deserving winners. FX thanks you!
