Leading architects Norman Foster and Snøhetta’s Craig Dykers spoke to Blueprint about what collaboration means to them and their work
The theme of collaboration was a driving force behind the most recent issue of Blueprint magazine (Issue 354): what role does it play in the current landscape of architecture and design — and how is this changing?
In two exclusive filmed interviews, which you can watch below, we brought together world-renowned architects Norman Foster and Snøhetta’s Craig Dykers. We interrogated them on what the idea of collaboration means to them and its importance in their work — and got some fascinating, if different, responses. From Dykers playing a game with President Obama, to Foster teaming up with Richard Rogers at university, there were certainly some stories to share about how both architects collaborate.
Full transcripts of the interviews can be found in Issue 354, along with an array of images showcasing the work of both Foster + Partners and Snøhetta. Our sincere thanks goes to both architects, as well as to Arper, who kindly provided the venue for the interviews and supported the filming.
