TON is striding ahead in furniture design, claiming four awards in autumn alone this 2015
Driven by unique design technologies that interweave both the old and new, the TON Company strive for traditional craftsmanship from both local Czech designers and abroad.
To kick start the design season TON was awarded the 'Best Installation' during the London-based trade fair Designjunction, which led to a spiral of success.
TON went on to receive a 'Special Mention' at the 2015 German Design Award for the Split Collection, making it the chair range's first accolade.

To round off the year, at TON's final event for 2015 it went home with not one but two awards at the Czech Designblok Exhibition. The awards recognised 'Best New Furniture' as well as the 'Best Producers Installation'.
Marketing director at TON, Jan Juza, commented on the awards:
'[In] regards to the Designblok Exhibition, we returned to its exhibition area after a two year pause and we are glad that we have proved that we belong among the Czech brands that deserve attention.'
The prize-winning installation at Designblok was proposed by creative duo Jan Plechác and Henry Wielgus. The exhibition began with a single Split collection chair beside a row of others upon a plain white stand: a blank canvas for participants.
The concept related the Split Chair - created through manually spraying a range of tints onto the structure - to the Designblok theme of freedom.

Plechác and Wielgus stated that, 'The inspiration was the visitors themselves. We enjoy the interaction between them and installations'.
The result was the entire stand area covered in an array of colours, clearly displaying TON's knack for enchanting its audience.
