Ticket giveaway: Grand Designs Live 2018, London

Taking place at ExCel London, Grand Designs Live (GDL) will be back for 2018 from the 5th to the 13th of May. Proudly sponsored by Anglian Home Improvements, the UK’s leading home show is a must-visit event for anyone looking to learn about the world of design, interiors, and how to self-build. DesignCurial has teamed up with GDL to give our readers the change to claim one of 100 free pairs of tickets – usually worth up to £34 each - to this amazing event.
Offering visitors the chance to explore the latest in technological developments, Grand Designs Live will also feature product previews and talks on current trends. Visitors from all backgrounds – whether renovating, building a new home, redecorating or looking for inspiration – are guaranteed to find something for them with GDL’s six different sections: Build, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Gardens, Interiors, and a special Technology Trail.
Based on the Channel 4 TV series, GDL is presented by design specialist Kevin McCloud and will be packed with over 400 different exhibitors. There will be a range of informative talks and features running throughout the week which visitors are welcome to take part in - the first of which is popular service Ask an Expert which will be returning to GDL this year, giving visitors the opportunity to consult specialists across a range of home improvement areas.
In the Grand Theatre, host Kevin McCloud will be joined by a range of industry experts and recent ‘Grand Designers’ from the latest Grand Design series, to provide a series of informational seminars on various topics. Kevin will also be showcasing the most revolutionary, eco-friendly gadgets and products in Kevin’s Green Heroes. Meanwhile, The Salvage Yard will be showcasing one off, high-end pieces of architectural salvage, which will be for sale.
Another installation taking place during Grand Designs Live is the Interior Room Sets & Studio; each of the innovative rooms has been brought to life by professional interior designers, and will display products from British designers, manufacturers and retailers. For those looking for something more specific, visitors can discover bathroom decoration at The Lavatory Project – where, again, interior designers have been asked to mock-up unique and striking rooms, to give plenty of inspiration.
As well as the range of talks and exhibitions, GDL features five different visitor halls. The first, the Grand Build hall, will showcase products that can help with any design project – whether that is renovating, building a new home from the ground up, or creating an extension. Be sure to visit Tesla within this hall; they will be displaying their stylish, luxury eco-friendly cars, energy storage systems and solar panels.
The Grand Interiors hall offers different unique and sophisticated ways to furnish and complete a project – visitors will be able to browse hundreds of brands and products that are not readily available on the high street. Meanwhile, the Grand Kitchens and Grand Bathrooms halls will highlight some of the most cutting edge products and designs for these two important parts of the home.
Finally, the Grand Gardens section will be particularly interesting for those with an interest in the outdoors. There will be a selection of brands on show from a variety of outdoor areas, including cooking, swimming pools, hot tubs, garden buildings and landscaping. Visitors are sure to find anything they are looking for within the expansive range brands and products being showcased Grand Designs Live. Tickets can only be claimed online and cannot be claimed by any other method. Tickets are available for use on 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th May 2018 only. Tickets cannot be exchanged for cash, are not transferable and cannot be duplicated. There are only 100 pairs of tickets available which will be issued on a first come, first serve basis. Once all 100 tickets have been claimed, the code will no longer work. You must print your own tickets and show them at the entrance to Grand Designs Live on the date you have chosen.
