The online photography gallery has created a a gift certificate that it says is a work of art in its own right.

The Artful Project, the online gallery for affordable art, has reinvented the gift certificate this Christmas by turning theirs into a work of art.

Dispensing with run of the mill vouchers, The Artful Project commissioned New York artist Jeff Rogers to design a poster-sized gift certificate that is good enough to hang on the wall.

The gift certificate, printed on luxurious 100 per cent cotton paper, is available in £100 and £300 denominations, with the gift certificate details appearing on a removable label on the screen-print itself.

Joshua Blackburn, founder of The Artful Project, said: 'We want to make giving art a truly wonderful experience. This gift certificate is a double gift - it's a work of art that buys a work of art.'
