Surface Design Show 2017: Where Surfaces Come Alive

Surface Design Show 2017, set to be the biggest and best show to date.

As the only show in the UK that focuses on interior and exterior surfaces for the built environment the Surface Design Show (SDS) has become a top pick amongst designers and architects.

Over 5,000 professionals attended this year’s show and next year, the expectation is higher. With visitors from all different walks of design, including architecture, lighting and interiors, guests are assured to find a lot on offer at SDS, whether it's for industry insight, product or promotion.

The 2017 edition will feature the Preview Evening Live Debate and the ever popular PechaKucha Evening – an informal and entertaining presentation of inspirational slides, which is hosted by Phil Coffey of Coffey Architects and includes speakers Chris Dyson of Chris Dyson Architects and Matthew Driscoll of Threefold Architects.

The Stone Gallery will be back for a second year in a row allowing architects and desingers to meet and specify natural stone from all corners of the world. Surface Spotlight live for 2017 will focus on hospitality and education, presenting the best materials and trends for both areas. It's an absolute must-see for visitors.

While that's enough to keep you busy, The Light School will again make a grand appearance educating visitors on the important relationship between light and surfaces.

Event Director, Christopher Newton said: ‘Over 160 exhibitors have already signed up for 2017, with more to be confirmed over the next few months. Returning brands include Altfield, Concreate and James Latham whilst new brands already confirmed are Lovell Stone, Nordcell and Visive.’

If you’re keen to learn more about the latest industry projects and immerse yourself in the newest materials for the built environment don’t miss out on SDS 2017. There will of course, be plenty of time to mingle with like-minded designers and architects throughout the day as well.

The show will take place at the Business Design Centre in London from 7 to 9 February 2017.
